National Chain to Carry Dog Food Supplement
Green Foods Corp., an Oxnard health foods producer, says PetsMart, a nationwide super store chain, has agreed to carry its new Barley Dog supplement.
Another large retailer, Petco, already sells Barley Dog, a Green Foods spokesman says. Barley Dog contains powdered barley grass, brown rice, yeast and garlic. Among other things, it improves dogs’ digestion, the spokesman says.
A portion of the sales revenue from the food benefits Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, a Utah shelter for abandoned or abused animals.
