Urban Oasis : Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve
Brilliant poppy blooms will herald the arrival of spring and begin crowning Antelope Valley hills next month, drawing thousands to view the flowers, which are native to the state. The 1,700-acre reserve along California 138 is off Avenue I west of Lancaster.
