Suspect Arrested in Shooting Death
A 30-year-old Oxnard man was fatally shot early Saturday during a fight at his residence, authorities said.
Anthony Moore died of a gunshot wound, police said.
Police arrived at the scene about 3 a.m. after receiving a call of a disturbance in the 300 block of Howell Road. Upon arrival, officers saw an armed man leaving the residence through a side door, police said.
Police arrested the man, identified as Russell Schmitz, after discovering Moore’s body. Police had no motive for the argument that reportedly led to the shooting.
