Gunman Holds Up Sandwich Shop
VENTURA —
A rifle-wielding bandit robbed a Ventura fast-food restaurant Saturday evening, police said.
A man believed to be about 25 years old pointed a rifle at an employee of Subway Sandwiches & Salads, 4255 E. Main St., shortly after 8 p.m. and demanded money, police said.
After disconnecting the store’s phone, the gunman fled on foot with bills from the cash register and the surveillance camera’s videotape.
No shots were fired by the man, described only as white, about 5 foot, 8 inches, and weighing about 200 pounds.
