Services Set for Pat Brown
Public services will be held in Los Angeles and San Francisco this week for two-term Gov. Edmund G. “Pat” Brown Sr., patriarch of the state’s most prominent political family.
Brown, 90, died Friday of a heart attack at his Benedict Canyon home.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Chapel, 1218 Glendon Ave., said Brown family spokeswoman Barbara Marcus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Cecilia’s Church in San Francisco. Private interment will follow, Marcus said.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Edmund G. “Pat” Brown Institute for Public Affairs at Cal State L.A., 5151 State University Drive, Los Angeles, 90032.
