Services Set for Boy Killed by Train
Funeral services for 4-year-old Christian Endoso, struck and killed by an Amtrak train Saturday, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach.
The boy was out for a walk with his baby-sitter and the baby-sitter’s two children when he ran toward the train on a railway crossing bridge. He was thrown 70 feet by the impact.
John Allinson, 36, the baby-sitter, had his lower leg severed when he tried to save the child. Allinson underwent a lengthy surgery to reattach his leg at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
The family has established a memorial fund. Contributions may be sent to the Christian Endoso Fund, c/o Siena Terrace, 20041 Osterman Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630.
