Participant in ’65 King March to Give Talk
The Rev. Phylis Tyler Wayman, who in 1965 marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Montgomery, Ala., will be the keynote speaker during a Black History Month celebration at Total Life Christian Center in Ventura.
The event is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 660 N. Ventura Ave.
In addition to Wayman, who is a pastor at College Methodist Church in Ventura, Olivi Washington, who teaches history at Ventura College, will speak.
