Times to Launch Technology Section: To expand its coverage of the fast-growing high-tech area, the Los Angeles Times will launch on March 18 a new weekly Business section, “The Cutting Edge,” devoted primarily to technology’s impact on business and on people’s lives. The section will carry expanded coverage of computers, the Internet, electronic entertainment, technology careers and other technology issues. While the new section will still include some non-technology news, it will replace the paper’s current Monday Business section and incorporate material now appearing in the popular “Cutting Edge” feature in Wednesday’s Business section.
