Hidden Hills : City Awarded Grant to Promote Recycling

Share

The city of Hidden Hills has received a $2,200 grant to help increase public awareness of its recycling programs, city officials said.

The money, awarded by the League of California Cities and the California Integrated Waste Management Board, will be used to create a publicity brochure to be inserted into the city’s newsletter, said Heather Wurtz, Hidden Hills’ recycling coordinator.

City waste-diversion programs include manure composting and curbside recycling, she said. Hidden Hills also operates a motor-oil recycling program in conjunction with the city of Calabasas, Wurtz said.
