Gas Prices Rise: The average pump price nationwide, including all grades and taxes, was $1.2109 on Friday, according to the Lundberg Survey of 10,000 gas stations. That was up 1.96 cents from the Feb. 23 survey. Prices have been rising since November, except for a small drop in late January and early February, analyst Trilby Lundberg said. The hike is due to the higher costs of reformulated clean-air gas recipes, and because the United Nations has yet to allow Iraq limited oil sales to pay for food and medicine, therefore reducing supply and pushing up prices, she said.
