CompuServe Unveils Consumer Online Service: The H&R; Block Inc. unit, which is based in Columbus, Ohio, said that for a flat rate of $17.95, a household will receive up to six different user profiles--each with its own e-mail address and unlimited access, including use of the Internet. The new service, called WOW!, is designed to be easier to use than CompuServe Inc.’s existing services. In contrast to its existing CompuServe service that mainly targets business and technical users, WOW! is aimed squarely at the residential market. WOW! offers a sampling of the content of the existing CompuServe service, but its contents are more oriented toward entertainment, lifestyle, sports and news.
