PASO ROBLES--Pay tribute to a composer and pianist at the fourth annual Paderewski Festival, March 22-24. Ignacy Jan Paderewski briefly settled in Paso Robles in 1914. The festival honors him with concerts, lectures, films, tours and the Saturday morning Polish/American Breakfast, featuring music by the Pro Musica String Quartet. INDIO--The annual Keh-Wit Taspa (spring celebration) Indio Powwow is March 29-31 on the Cabazon Indian Reservation. Music, dancing, ceremony, crafts and food are among the highlights, 5-midnight Friday, 11 a.m.-midnight Saturday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. Many Native American tribes from the United States, Mexico and Canada are represented at the event. $2, general; $1, kids; free for those under 6. SAN DIEGO--High school, collegiate and master teams, totaling 300 eight-oared shells and more than 3,000 competitors, participate in the 23rd annual Crew Classic, March 30-31. Events begin at 7 a.m. both days. The last race on Saturday is 5:20 p.m.; the last race on Sunday is 2:35 p.m. At Crown Point Shores, off Crown Point Drive. $5, general; free for those 12 and under. SAN FRANCISCO--Celebrate National Women’s History Month at the Women’s Heritage Museum Book Fair, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 31. Authors, publishers, booksellers and organizations gather for the event in Building A at Fort Mason Center.
