World IN BRIEF : PAKISTAN : 40 Die in Second Kashmir Avalanche

A second avalanche in less than a week struck a remote, mountainous area of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, killing 40 people while they slept Monday, government officials said. The buried village is only about a mile from a hamlet where an avalanche killed at least 35 people Friday night.
