Gasser to Join Hollywood Label

Kevin Gasser, music agent at Creative Artists Agency, is about to be named senior vice president at Hollywood Records, the struggling rock record division of Walt Disney Co., sources said. Gasser, who has worked with such rock acts as Courtney Love and Smashing Pumpkins, was recruited for the job by his former CAA boss, Michael Ovitz.

* At Fox Broadcasting Co., Cindy L. Hauser has been promoted to senior vice president of print advertising, special projects and on-line advertising; Ron Scalera and Robert Bouknight have been promoted to senior vice presidents of on-air promotion; Bill Wagner has been named vice president of operations, research and marketing; and Ray Borelli has been promoted to vice president of sports research and marketing.

* David Sehring has been named vice president of programming acquisition for American Movie Classics.

* Zenon Dmytryk has been named manager of publicity for Universal Family Entertainment and MCA Television Entertainment.

* Amy Goldberg has been named director of development of Saban Entertainment.

* Salomon Bros. has hired Sharon Williams as vice president in its equity research department covering the cable and entertainment industries.

* Michela English has been named president of Discover Enterprises Worldwide, a new unit responsible for the growth of Discover Communications brands beyond television.
