1,000 Mourn Girl Found Dead After Vanishing
Associated Press
HANFORD, Calif. —
More than 1,000 mourners dressed in purple or wearing purple ribbons packed a memorial service Tuesday for 11-year-old Traci Rene Conrad.
Purple was a favorite color of the girl, whose body was found Thursday stuffed into a kiln in a friend’s backyard. She had been missing since Feb. 25, when she disappeared after visiting the house just a few blocks from her Hanford home.
Police made no arrests and named no suspects Tuesday. An autopsy report is expected next week.
