. . . Irvine officials agreed to pay a reported $250,000 to the family of a young autistic man whose kidney had to be removed after a struggle with police officers.
Guido Rodriguez Jr., then 18, was taken into custody by officers who said his “suspicious actions” caused them to believe he had stolen a bicycle. An investigation cleared the officers of wrongdoing.
