Comet Hyakutake is visible low in the northwest as soon as the sky grows dark and until about 10 p.m. Look at it before moonrise Friday and over the weekend. It is as bright as a star of the Big Dipper and has a tail that stretches upward and to the right. Binoculars greatly improve the view. The comet will brighten again in weeks to come.
