Brosnan, Crawford to Host Charity Walk
Actor Pierce Brosnan and supermodel Cindy Crawford will host the third annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women on May 11, kicking off at 8 a.m. at the Cheviot Hills Park near Century City.
The five-kilometer walk is dedicated to the thousands of women who have battled breast and ovarian cancer, and those who will be forced to do so in the future.
More than 18,000 participants are expected to support the event, which is billed as the largest 5K in California.
Proceeds will be split among the following agencies: Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program, the Wellness Community, Watts Health Foundation Mobile Mammography Center, L.A. Breast Cancer Alliance, Gilda Radner Ovarian Cancer Detection Program, WIN Against Breast Cancer, and Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors Support Project.
Last year’s walk raised $1 million.
