Supervisor Online

Share

* I was disappointed in the March 31 letter by Craig Morgan of Burbank, criticizing my office for going on the Internet. While I am the first L.A. County supervisor to go “online,” I am by no means the first elected official to do so. The president, governor, members of Congress and the Legislature have all led the way. Our venture into cyberspace is an innovative effort to serve and communicate with the public more quickly, efficiently and less expensively than has been possible in the past.

The issue isn’t cost; going online will save us staff time and postage for years to come. The issue is keeping pace with the future and the technological changes the future has in store for our society.
