Woodland Hills : Pierce Job Fair Will Feature 30 Firms
Representatives from about 30 companies will participate in a job fair Wednesday at Pierce College.
Officials from the computer, banking, insurance and retail industries will be on campus for the fair, as well as representatives of hospitals and other health-care facilities, said Kathy Oborn, director of the school’s job placement and housing office.
The state’s Employment Development Department will also offer information about its job placement services. Those eligible will be able to register for job-search assistance.
The agency recently established a satellite facility on campus, housed in the job placement and housing office. It is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
The fair, which is free, will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the campus mall.
Pierce College is at 6201 Winnetka Ave. in Woodland Hills.
