North Hills : Neighborhood Watch to Host Councilman
Los Angeles City Councilman Hal Bernson will be the guest at a Neighborhood Watch meeting this evening in North Hills, organizers said.
Les Lovatt, senior lead officer with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division, said Bernson will take questions and respond to residents’ concerns during a brief appearance.
The councilman will be joined by LAPD Sgt. Jill Niles, Devonshire’s evening watch commander, who will discuss officer deployment and how police resources are allocated, Lovatt said.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Sepulveda Unitarian Society, 9550 Haskell Ave., North Hills. The gatherings are free to the public, Lovatt said.
