Intuit, AOL to Introduce Online Banking: The program will allow computer users to look up their bank account statements and pay bills electronically. The online program also will let computer users put the financial information into Intuit Inc.’s best-selling electronic checkbook program, Quicken. The venture with America Online, the nation’s largest online service, could be one of the best ways to get computer users familiar with the concept of paying bills through a modem-equipped personal computer, Intuit Vice President Steve Pelletier said. Intuit charges the banks for its online transaction processing services. So far, 37 banks have allied with Intuit in offering banking software.
