Anaheim resident Jacquelyn Terrell has been named Woman of the Year in the 34th state Senate District.

“She is an exceptional example of the true spirit of volunteerism,” said Sen. Rob Hurtt (R-Garden Grove). “She has been an active volunteer for many years and is considered a person who makes a difference for so many in our county.”

Terrell, nominated for the honor by the Anaheim Community Foundation, is active with a number of charities serving needy families, senior citizens and youth, among them Anaheim Meals on Wheels, the Assistance League of Anaheim, the Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim, the Anaheim Community Services Board and the Salvation Army.
