State Expected to OK Funds for High School
In a move that would ensure the speedy construction of a long-awaited high school in north Diamond Bar, Assemblyman Gary Miller announced Thursday that the State Allocation Board is expected to apportion the more than $15.7 million required for completion.
The Assembly Republican Caucus on Thursday unanimously endorsed the funding by the board for the Diamond Ranch High School, Miller said. Republican control of the allocation board means that vote will be repeated by its members May 1, his office said.
The school, which will be part of the Pomona Unified School District, will get an initial allocation of $1.6 million and an additional allocation of $14.1 million. Construction is expected to be completed by September 1997.
