When you’re in the mood, the wisp-thin pizza at Alto Palato can be nearly as good as the stuff at the best pizzerias in Rome. Still, the crisp, garlic-soaked pizza at Casa Bianca Pizza Pie is well-known as the best regular-guy pizza in town. You can have your fancy-pants truffles. I’ll take Casa Bianca’s pizza with fried eggplant and homemade sausage almost every time. 1650 Colorado Blvd., Eagle Rock; (213) 256-9617. Pizza, $3.70 to $31.65.
