Western Digital Sells Fibre Channel Unit

IRVINE — Western Digital Corp. completed the sale of its Fibre Channel products business unit of Lynnwood, Wash., to Vixel Corp. for a combination of cash, financial considerations and an equity interest in Vixel. Under the agreement, Western Digital also will have a representative on Vixel’s board.
