AIDS Education
* Re “Sex Education Class Kicked Out of School,” April 18.
While it can be presumed that it is very laudable for parents to want to keep an offspring in a cloistered environment, to believe that storks deliver babies and a tooth fairy exists, one can’t help but wonder just how much consideration was given to the many young lives that have been placed in jeopardy by the Antelope Valley Union High School District’s banning the AIDS education program. Since when does emotionalism and overreaction substitute for education and restore lost lives?
