The applications include requests for:

* A conditional-use permit to renovate and expand Chuck E. Cheese restaurant at 8375 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in Sun Valley. The permit would add 1,250 square feet to the property and allow the continued operation of a 125-unit video game arcade and the sale of beer and wine. The hearing will be at 9 a.m. Friday.

* A conditional-use permit to build a 1,371-square-foot Unocal gas station, carwash and food market at 18050 Nordhoff St. in Northridge. The permit would allow the carwash entrance to be built 54 feet from adjacent homes, 46 feet shorter than allowed by Los Angeles’ municipal code. The hearing will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
