ROOM AT THE PROM
Students at San Pedro High School have voted to let more people come to the senior prom after tickets sold out this week.
Originally, 200 tickets for 400 people were earmarked for the May 17 dance on a Newport Beach-based dinner yacht called the Entertainer.
Students holding tickets voted Tuesday whether to allow 100 more people to attend. Two-thirds agreed that more people should come to the prom even though space is limited on the boat, said Assistant Principal Clara Houston. The only inconvenience will be dancing on one floor of the ship and dining on another level.
