Scholars to Speak on ‘Knowing God’

St. Joachim Catholic Church will have its annual Spring Fair from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, from noon to 11 p.m. May 18 and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 19. Rides, games, face painting and a white elephant sale will be featured, as well as Mexican, Salvadoran, Italian and German food. A raffle will also take place. Blessed Sacrament Parish will have its annual festival from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, from noon to 11 p.m. on May 18 and from noon to 10 p.m. on May 19. St. Mark Presbyterian Church will have an offering of letters during its Mother’s Day service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Members can write letters to Congress to urge them to make the needs of hungry children a national priority. A young children’s “angel choir” will perform at the end of the service. Biblical worship warmup will take place at 8:45 a.m. in the library. Religious Folk Art from Timbuktu Gallery in Costa Mesa will be on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday.
