Robber Claims to Have Bomb
GLENDALE —
A man who claimed to be carrying a bomb robbed a Great Western Bank on Wednesday and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, Glendale police said.
The man, carrying a box, entered the branch at the intersection of Glendale Avenue and Doran Street about 11 a.m. and told a teller he had a bomb, Sgt. Terry Jones said.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber escaped on foot, Jones said.
