FCC Approves New York License Sale: The Federal Communications Commission said OK to the city’s $207-million sale of its commercial license for public television station WNYC to ITT Corp. and Dow Jones & Co. The approval clears the way for the companies to launch a news superstation, which will include financial information and offer more exposure for sports and entertainment events produced at ITT’s Madison Square Garden arena in New York and Caesars World casinos.
