Dodger first baseman Eric Karros, who hit a three-run homer in Saturday’s 7-2 victory over the Phillies, hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning Sunday. It was the first time this season that Karros has homered in consecutive games. . . . Reliever Antonio Osuna extended his scoreless inning streak to 11.1 by retiring all five batters he faced. He has registered 14 strikeouts during that span. . . . Chad Fonville started at shortstop for the second consecutive game in place of Greg Gagne, who sprained his ankle Friday night. . . . With Sunday’s win, the Phillies avoided being swept in a four-game series by the Dodgers for the first time since 1962. . . . The Dodgers, who haven’t had mandatory batting practice during their five-game winning streak, will take batting practice before tonight’s game against the New York Mets. “It was on before we lost,” Karros said.
