33 Named Winners of Merit Scholarships

Thirty-three Orange County students are among the state’s 207 scholarship winners in the third round of this year’s National Merit competition, the organization announced this week.

The high school seniors will receive $250 to $2,000 in college scholarship awards annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the college they choose.

The award winners are Christine J. Truong, Loara High, Anaheim; Peter O. Krutzik, Estancia High, Costa Mesa; Anna Kim, Los Alamitos High; Susanna P. Kim, Pacifica High, Garden Grove; Jonathan A. Bangs, Sunny Hills High, Fullerton; Thomas J. Stokes, Servite High, Anaheim; Wendy M. Winckler, Mater Dei High, Santa Ana; Jean Ho, Huntington Beach High; Anneliese E. Paull, Foothill High, Santa Ana; Kristin A. Stenberg, Irvine High; Howard K. Sun, Marina High, Huntington Beach; Glenn H. Tanner, Ocean View High, Huntington Beach.

Also winning the college-sponsored scholarships are Erin M. Conley, Woodbridge High, Irvine; David M. Marcus, Estancia High, Costa Mesa; Hannah A. Fullmer, Fullerton Union High; Eric M. Ryan, Foothill High, Santa Ana; Jasmine Pachnanda, Irvine High; Cathery Yeh, John F. Kennedy High, La Palma; Areio V. Soltani, Laguna Hills High; Stefani M.
