Mom Accused of Using Children as Burglars

GUILFORD, Conn. — A mother used her 4-year-old son, 14-year-old daughter and two other teenagers to burglarize houses in well-to-do neighborhoods to feed her crack habit, police said Tuesday.
The teenagers would hoist the 4-year-old through a window and the boy would unlock a door, said Police Chief Kenneth Cruz.
Jannie Boudreau, 40, was jailed on $5,000 bail on charges of burglary, larceny, conspiracy and risk of injury to a minor.
The three teenagers, who apparently all lived in Boudreau’s home, were charged with similar crimes and held in juvenile centers.
