Secret Seraph Is Pick in Kindergarten Field
Secret Seraph heads a field of 10 2-year-olds set to go 350 yards in the $180,000 Kindergarten Futurity tonight at Los Alamitos. The Futurity will go as the 10th race on the 12-race card.
Owned by Ed Allred and trained by Bruce Hawkinson, Secret Seraph posted the fastest qualifying time (17.74 seconds) in the trials for the Kindergarten two weeks ago. After breaking in the air in his debut, when finishing second, the Raise A Secret colt made no mistakes next time, winning by 1 1/4 lengths under Joe Badilla Jr. Secret Seraph will race coupled with Feminista, second as the 1-2 favorite in her trial.
There are two other entries in the field. Docs First Card, Merry Candy Spots and Effortless Form, all of whom are owned by Dutch Masters III and trained by Jaime Gomez, will be one entry, and Uncas and My Hearts Hi, both owned by Spencer Childers, make up the other. The others in the lineup are Rainbows Brite, Martys Easy Cash and Corona Cartel.
