Judge in Dally Case Reviews Warrants

Share

A judge Friday continued reviewing sealed search warrants served at the Port Hueneme home of homicide suspect Diana J. Haun but put off making a decision on giving the documents to Haun’s attorney.

Haun is suspected of killing Sherri Renee Dally, a Ventura mother of two who disappeared May 6. Dally’s body was found by searchers June 1, and the coroner said she had been beaten and stabbed to death. Haun and the victim’s husband, Michael Dally, have been romantically linked by co-workers and friends.

Dally was last seen getting into a blue-green Nissan Altima driven by a blond woman. Sandra Acevedo, a clerk at Oxnard Discount Wigs & Beauty Supplies, told reporters she sold a blond wig to Haun.

Haun was arrested and held for four days, but she was released after authorities said they lacked enough evidence to charge her.

Meanwhile, Dally’s mother has scheduled a memorial service for 1 p.m. June 15 at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura. In lieu of flowers, she asks that a donation be made to the Dally Children’s Trust. Checks can be mailed to the Cunningham & Landsen law firm, 500 E. Esplanade Drive, Oxnard 93030.
