Signs Will Promote New Farmers’ Market

Share

A set of signs will be posted around Moorpark each Saturday to let potential customers know where to find the city’s new farmers’ market.

The Moorpark City Council decided Wednesday to spend about $1,500 on signs that will be placed at strategic locations throughout the city to lure customers. The market, which is scheduled to open June 15, will be held every Saturday afternoon at the downtown MetroLink station.

The council decided to go with the recommendation of the city’s new market coordinator Cynthia Korman, who also organizes the Ojai farmers’ market. Korman said the signs are essential to establish a regular clientele and to attract shoppers downtown.
