The article about Tom Dixon brought back special, pleasant memories (“After 50 Years, Tom Dixon Still Has a Classic On-Air Style,” May 30).
When we moved to Southern California in 1957, I stumbled cross KFAC. That was my station! It seemed I knew Thomas Patrick Cassidy, Tom Dixon, Carl Princi, Dick Crawford and Fred Crain personally though I wouldn’t recognize them if I saw them.
When I heard Tom Dixon’s voice on the Bullock’s TV commercials, I felt he added a classic touch.
As for his preference for Mozart, he has impeccable taste.
