Exchange to Launch Western Office: The American Stock Exchange plans to open its first West Coast regional office, in Los Angeles, to form closer relationships with the companies whose shares are listed on the market. The Amex is expected to open the office at a ceremony Wednesday, which will include a dual, transcontinental bell-ringing via satellite with its New York trading floor in order to mark that session’s close.
