Pollution Research to Buy Maker of Control Panels
Pollution Research & Control Corp., a Glendale maker of instruments that measure air pollution, said it has agreed to acquire a privately held manufacturer of control panels with annual revenues of more than $3 million.
The name of the company and price of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will be paid for with a combination of cash, assumption of debt and stock options.
Pollution Research wants the manufacturer’s skilled workers and customer lists to ease its entry into the market for pollution-control devices. It has patented a new air-pollution control system for coal-burning power plants and pulp mills.
