PENNSYLVANIA : MOVE Trial Jury Loses One Member
After eight days of deliberations, the jury in the MOVE bombing civil trial lost one member and agreed to keep struggling for a verdict after telling the judge it was partly deadlocked. In notes exchanged with federal Judge Louis Pollak, the jury said it had reached a verdict on one defendant but was hung on the other two being sued for the bombing of the radical group’s row house. The city of Philadelphia and two former officials are being sued by the survivors of the May 13, 1985, police bombing and fire, which killed 11 people.
