INDIA : 2 Communists Join Burgeoning Cabinet

India’s president inducted the first-ever Communist ministers into the government of the world’s most populous democracy. Two members of the Communist Party of India--Indrajit Gupta and Chaturanan Mishra--were among 14 new Cabinet ministers from several parties sworn in by President Shankar Dayal Sharma as part of an expansion of the month-old government.
