One adult and three juveniles were arrested early Sunday after they allegedly stole wheels, tires and hubcaps from cars in Simi Valley.

About 4 a.m., Simi Valley police responded to a call of a vehicle burglary in progress on Santa Lucia Street. When officers arrived, they stopped a van being driven by 33-year-old Brad Kiikuni of Monterey Park.

Inside the van they found “several sets of tires and wheels” believed to have been stolen from vehicles in the area, according to Sgt. Gordon Weeks.

Police searched the area and found two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, both of Monterey Park, attempting to hide in the front yard of a nearby house.

The third juvenile, 17, also of Monterey Park, was arrested later when he showed up at the police station “looking for his friends,” Weeks said.

All of the thefts occurred within one mile of the intersection of Tapo and Alamo streets, according to Weeks.

All four suspects were arrested on suspicion of grand theft and being in possession of stolen property.

Police returned most of the property to the victims.
