Program at CLU Offers Introduction to Business

California Business Week, an economics education program designed to help young people understand the American free enterprise system, will be held Aug. 4 to 9 at Cal Lutheran University.

Students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of high school are eligible to apply.

Business Week participants will interact with top business people, tour area industries, participate in a management/marketing computer-simulation game, produce a 30-second television commercial and enjoy social and recreational activities.

Students selected to attend will receive a scholarship from a business, foundation, civic club, individual or chamber of commerce. Cost to the participant is $25.

The program is sponsored by the Ventura County Economic Development Assn., Ventura County superintendent of schools, GTE, Santa Barbara Bank & Trust and Limoneira Co.
