Is it just me, or does anyone else think it incongruous that the same insurance industry that lobbied so hard to kill government-provided, single-payer health insurance now is lobbying hard to have, in effect, government-provided, single-payer earthquake insurance?
If the government was too incompetent to provide health insurance, why should we now trust it to provide earthquake insurance?
