Flyovers: Look! Up in the sky. Is it a B-2 bomber? An Apache helicopter? A formation of F-16 Falcons? . . . Next weekend it will be all of those plus skydivers, remote-controlled models and more than 50 fighter jets and vintage aircraft parked on the Tarmac during the Van Nuys Airport Aviation Expo ’96 (B2). The free event is expected to draw 250,000 Saturday and Sunday.

Armchair Navigator: And for those who don’t like all that neck-craning, how about a leisurely river trip? . . . Instead of sunburn and soggy shoes, you get maps, photos and text tracing the 50-mile Los Angeles River from its headwaters in the San Fernando Valley to its mouth at Long Beach. It’s on the Web, thanks to Jefferson High School’s Kurt Ballash: https://www.lalc.k12.ca.us/laep/smart/river/tour/index.html.

Serious Talk: On this talk show there are no bitter women, cheating husbands or disrespectful teenagers. Host Billy Walker, above, is pastor of the Greater Missionary Baptist Church in San Fernando and a Los Angeles County juvenile probation officer (B1) . . . On his weekly public access television show, broadcast on cable by Tele-Communications Inc., Walker sticks to important topics like AIDS, crime and getting into business.

The Candidate: Private eye Jan Tucker is publicity director for the Valley chapter of the National Organization for Women. The Arleta-born activist also does some PR for a group that advocates legalized prostitution. . . . And still he finds time to run for president. Tucker is seeking the nomination of the California Peace and Freedom Party next month in the Bay Area (B1).
