LANCASTER — After striking out in his first three at-bats Monday night, Scott Smith joined the offensive explosion in the sixth inning by hitting the JetHawks’ first grand slam of the season in a 15-2 victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm before 3,135 at the Hangar.
Catcher Scot Sealy, still hobbled from taking a foul tip off his toe last week, added four hits, including a two-run home run. Jesus Marquez added a solo homer, his team-leading 13th, and a double to extend his hitting streak to 13 games.
Shane Monahan had a three-run double, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. Ricky Jordan, on a rehabilitation assignment from the Mariners, had three hits.
