Police, relatives and friends have intensified their efforts to find a Mar Vista woman who has been missing since Saturday.

Tina Nakamura disappeared about 8 p.m. after she dropped off a friend in Marina del Rey and before she was supposed to meet another friend for dinner at Casa Escobar. Her car was found near the restaurant.

Nakamura, 28, has been working as a management trainee at the Sears Roebuck store at the Northridge Fashion Center for about three months.

“This is very uncharacteristic of her,” Los Angeles Police Detective William Cox said. “She’s a regimented person, living a structured life, with a job, bank accounts and credit cards. She has no past history of drug or alcohol use or disappearances.”

, Fliers with a picture of Nakamura have been posted around Marina del Rey. She is 5-foot-1, weighs 100 pounds and has a dark birthmark on the top of her right hand. Nakamura was last seen wearing a brown short-sleeve sweater and a brown floral print skirt.

“She is very, very nice, very hard working and always looking to learn,” said a co-worker. “We’re praying like everyone else that everything is OK.”
