Your article on Don Imus (“Shock Is His Middle Name,” by Verne Gay, July 7) points up precisely what is wrong with Los Angeles radio.
Our airwaves continue to be polluted by racist, sexist loudmouths who try to convince us that they are amusing. Why isn’t a major market like ours working on developing home-grown talent, especially females, who can discuss current events with humor and some dignity?
